2022 Katla Kiki Pet Nat

Grapes:  50% Merlot, 25%  Weissburgunder (aka Pinot Blanc), 25% Riesling grapes.

About: All the wine is made in Stainless Steel to preserve freshness. The Weissburgunder which comes from Rheinhessen's Nicklas Rückrich sees three days maceration on the skins, the Merlot from Rheinhessen's Andi Mann sees 5 days of semi-carbonic maceration and the Riesling from Piri Natural undergoes 3 days. It is bottled with 6g of Residual Sugar and whilst energetic in the bubble with some foam, does not explode on opening.

Tasting Notes (From Winemaker): "notes of fresh red berries like strawberries and redcurrants. Armed with little grip and a little spice, with good acidity. It would pair well with lighter charcuterie, cheeses such as brie or comte, beet dishes, tacos, light meat as turkey or chicken"
