2021 Suriol Cal Ron Orange

White wine made with Malvasia de Sitges (a Catalan variety of the Malvasia grape family; historically used in sweet wines, it’s now enjoying a sort of renaissance as a distinctive dry white wine, as is the case here. Partly aged in ceramic amphorae with five days of skin contact, making this a pleasant entry point into orange wines. Wild fermented, unfined, unfiltered, no added sulfites, vegan. Medium bodied with beautiful texture, but surprisingly fresh and aromatic. Meyer lemon skin, turmeric, beeswax and salt. Very, very good with cheese.
